Day 7&8
Favorite Drama Movie:
If I ever think I might have nightmares, I’ll watch Forrest Gump before I go to bed and be totally fine.
Favorite Franchise/Trilogy:
Strangely my answers are the same as thekylster’s. Good taste in movies I suppose.

It's official:
Dear Kelli, Congratulations! We are pleased to inform you that you have been granted admission to the following program(s):
History MA
Went to blockbuster to rent Harry Potter movies...
Picked up HP 1,5 and 6. (Why do I not own these?)
Look on the face of the guy at Blockbuster:
He proceeds to ask me my thoughts on the theme park.
He says he just finished the fifth book and is trying to finish the seventh before the last movie.
Me: “Oh I read that the day after it came out.”
N00b.
If you can pronounce correctly every word in this...

just read this aloud (not allowed). probably got like 88% of it right.
I only missed three words.
One of which I feel is unavoidable- anemone.
Days 5&6
Favorite Animated Movie
Favorite Adventure Movie
I don’t know what constitutes an adventure movie. So this is the first thing I thought of:
What I do on my sick day:
I’m walking down the streets of London on Google Streetview.
I noticed the tavern my family frequented when we were there has changed its sign.
:)
Maybe next I’ll go walk around Paris or Rome.
Days 3 & 4
Day 3- Favorite Romantic Comedy
Generally I detest the theme of most romantic comedies because it’s unrealistic and not normally a good relationship, but I like this movie just because I get cynical twisted joy out of how evil Kate Hudson’s character can be. “OUR LOVE FERN! YOU LET IT DIE!”
Day 4- Favorite Comedy
Clerks II. I saw that movie like 6 times in theaters....
Operation Rolling Thunder
Basically when my country did this over North Vietnam:
I have to figure out a way to stretch the concept of “Wow, that was one clusterfuck of bad ideas and execution” into 7-8 pages for my International Relations course.
I’m getting more distracted by the internet, but not because I don’t have sources and an outline ready, because I have a hard time figuring out the...
Dear Society,
Why am I the only one who seems more concerned by this:
instead of this:
It’s like America is saying, “OH MY GOODNESS. UNDERAGE ACTORS PRETENDING TO BE FUCKING LIKE ANIMALS AND DOING IRRESPONSIBLE THINGS? HOW ATROCIOUS!! But..never mind the actual day-to-day teenagers who are having real sex and creating real babies whose real futures depend on 16 year olds who are shown as...
Definitely Worth Reading Today:
A blog about “The Political Power of Social Media” that was originally written by Clay Shirky in Foreign Affairs magazine, but the blog itself is from iRevolution. (The original article is .99 online and not available in full text otherwise. The blog shows much more of Shirky’s article from the magazine itself, where it spans about 6 pages.)
My .02 on the article:
Sidenote: I...

Day 2: Favorite Action Movie
Because how else does a petite 20-year-old young woman justify having a poster of two tattooed mens’ hands entangled in rosaries brandishing two Berettas 92FS’s next to her bed?
Or maybe I should just hang up some stupid fucking rope.
If there is a tornado warning going on outside,...
Sorry delivery guy, but I’m really hungry.

New Challenge Time!
Going to start a 30 Day Movie Challenge for fun.
(I confess: Since my DVD collection doesn’t include a lot of these categories, I’m not going to restrict it only to DVDs I own. But I’ll try to keep it mostly in that area.)
Day 1: Favorite Movie Ever.
Oddly it’s a tie for me between two way, way opposite movies. (This should speak volumes about me.)

Reading about the awful explosion in Moscow.
While reading one article I came across this sentence:
“The international arrivals terminal at Domodedovo Airport was engulfed by smoke and splattered with body parts after the mid-afternoon terror attack sprayed shrapnel, screws and ball bearings at passengers and workers in a loosely guarded area.”
Okay, I get that suicide explosions are a graphic and awful ordeal.
But, shit,...

Rant about Journalism
I am slowly remembering why I didn’t want to be an editor.
Rant:
So I’m sitting here in the library looking over the story pitch ideas submtted by my classmates for our magazine for Magazine Editing.
It’s pretty cool that my class will be producing the first issue of a print and online magazine geared towards highlighting interesting personalities at UCF.
But I am having...

Please, accept me…
I’ll give you all my money…
Please?
whimsicalzee asked: I have no effing idea how to make a post that replies to someone's reply, so here I am. But, yeah, I'll definitely let you know when I make it to books 3 and 4. I have a feeling that I'll be posting about this whole experience.

I care too much about this series.
Reads dailywhat link about major revision to HP7 the movie.
*Gets hopes up.*
See that in the first paragraph it’s a revision about a character who dies.
*Oh my God, please tell me Fred doesn’t die!*
They plan to do someone’s death differently…
*I’m glad she finally decided how mean it was to kill him off!*
Snape.

Daily Pep Talk From A Best Friend: You're going... →
dailypeptalk:
Pep Talk: Someone didn’t read your mind… AGAIN. Jesus, when will people learn?! It seems like the only way to get exactly what you want is to get it for yourself. And why not do just that? You’re self sufficient. No point waiting for someone else to surprise you with the thing you’ve been dreaming…
This pep talk is really great for my thirst for retail therapy, but really...
Brain in a vat →
bestofwikipedia:
In philosophy, the brain in a vat is an element used in a variety of thought experiments intended to draw out certain features of our ideas of knowledge, reality, truth, mind, and meaning. It is drawn from the idea, common to many science fiction stories, that a mad scientist, machine or other entity might remove a person’s brain from the body, suspend it in a vat of...
