A History Lesson
I admit, I’ve been reading a little bit on the whole Sandra Bullock/ Jesse James scandal. It’s kind of hard to stay away from it these days.
An interesting thing that hasn’t been mentioned though:
I think one of Jesse’s mistresses may just be related to a man who is credited with making photography available to people for the first time in history.
Brigitte Daguerre,...
Day 014
A non-fiction book
The Bielski Brothers: The True Story of Three Men Who Defied the Nazis, Built A Village in the Forest, and Saved 1,200 Jews By: Peter Duffy
I think just reading the title alone makes me feel underacccomplished.
If you’ve seen the movie Defiance, this is the real story of what happened.
Three brothers escape to the forest in Belorussia (real name of place) after the...
Homeless Balloons & Nuclear Wings
I’ve been pretty busy lately writing articles, working on final projects and taking pictures for articles/classes. It thought I’d share a few of the pictures I’ve taken since this is my blog. The first batch of pictures is from a wing-eating contest I had to photograph this past weekend for my friend’s article. I also am planning to use some of them for my...
Day 013
A fictional book
The Time Traveler’s Wife By: Audrey Niffenegger
This is the most recent fiction book I think I’ve read besides the ones I listed under my favorites.
I read it after I saw the preview for the movie because I love Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana, and it was an interesting concept.
Overall I really liked the book. There was a lot more sex scenes than I expected, so...

Day 012
“Whatever tickles your fancy.”
Have you guys ever followed the blog Cake Wrecks?
I absolutely love it! Here are some Cake Wrecks to make you giggle!
This cake is actually supposed to be …
I’m not sure how someone actually decided to put this “cake” on display.
This, believe it or not, is actually supposed to be a shamrock.
What? Really, just...
Mmm Mmm Frappeh.
You know you want one.
This probably isn’t my best before-bed snack of choice ever.
Day 011
A photo of you taken recently
Not my best photo, but it is recent. Back row third from the left :) It was Saint Patrick’s Day dinner.
Today I am on a mission to shop for a dress for military ball. Then maybe pool time despite the fact I have already sunburnt shoulders. Which means I will inevitably become lobster-esque this week.
Day 010
A picture of you taken over ten years ago.
I don’t know if anybody else as a kid ever visited Shipwreck Island in Panama City, but as a kid a day at shipwreck island was always the best day you could ask for.
This was taken when I was like 2-3 I think. So that’s WELL over ten years ago.
I kind of want to go back.
Day 009
“A picture you took”
I liked this one from Tennessee the most I think.
Here is a few more:
Day 008
A picture that makes you sad or angry.
I first saw this picture my first semester at UCF. I took a class called “History and Historians” where we covered the Holocaust and its original documents. At the end of the semester we went to a local Holocaust museum to listen to a survivor speak. There was also another professor from a school in England there. He spoke to us a little bit...
Day 007
A picture that makes you happy.
Pft. Who can pick just one?
This calls for a pic spam. Enjoy your daily dose of smiles.

How is that for the warm fuzzies?
And to give credit for pictures seen on Flickr:
3. BlackBird on Flickr, 4. Gloomy Little Cloud on Flickr, 5. warrenski on Flickr The rest were taken from Google.
Day 006
“Whatever tickles my fancy.”
I will tell you what has my fancy tickled lately, tulips.
I love having fresh flowers around. I love looking at them in the grocery store, picking what goes best with what, and reading about them. And since it is officially spring (It’s 76 today! YAY!) it is also officially tulip season.
So this post will be entirely about tulips. Some of their...
Day 005
Favorite Quote
I really don’t have just one favorite of anything, do I?
Well here’s three quotes I absolutely love:
1.
“Time to put off the world and go somewhere,
And find my health again in the sea air.”
-Beggar to Beggar Cried by William Butler Yeats
Full poem here: http://www.bartleby.com/147/13.html
2.
“I would rather be ashes than dust! I would...
Day 004
Favorite Book.
It’s really difficult to pick just one, so once again I will probably be including a short list of favorites. You know, today is such a rainy/dreary day it’d be nice if I could curl up with a new book. Sadly I haven’t bought a new book in forever because I know today I have chores/homework to do. :(
But I have many, many books. See:
So trust me, I have a ton...
Day 002 + Day 003
Your Favorite Movie & Your Favorite TV Show
I was a little busy yesterday and didn’t really get a chance to update before gym, going out, dealing with tax stuff, etc.
So two for the price of one! :D
My favorite movie is probably Black Hawk Down. I’ve watched it so many times (probably over 100 times) and still get kind of choked up at certain scenes. The book was amazing, but...
Day 001
Blogosphere, I am here.
Following the example of a good friend of mine who also recently joined tumblr, I figured I’d kick off the first 30 Days with a little survey to help encourage the creative writing process.
Day 01- Your Favorite Song
I don’t have one favorite that I’m completely obsessed with and listen to hundreds of times a day.
However, generally whenever Goo Goo...
